Returning in 2016 will be the Mastodon Mini-ROGAINE. This event will be an introduction, warm up, to what is being planned for 2016. Be prepared for a 2 hour adventure in one of the most unique terrains in New Brunswick on a map rightfully named, "Pits of Despair". There will be two courses: 1) Recreational course. A course for beginners and intermediate level orienteers and 2) Sports category. An advance course that will test the navigational skills of experience racers.
Event type: Score-O, find as many controls as possible in the time allocated.
Time limit: 2 hours

Pre registration by October 1, 2015 is requested to help organizers prepare sufficient maps. A limited number of extra maps will be printed.

Start: Mass start at noon
Course closure: Two hours after the start.
Equipment: Whistle (mandatory), compass, watch, water
Directions:
In Hillsborough turn onto the Golf Club road toward the Golf Course. Drive pass the golf club and take the dirt road into the quarry (keep the golf course on your right). Follow the direction arrows on the two coloured, orange and white, signs to the registration site.
Electronic timing:
Electronic timing equipment will be used. Participants will be provided with a recording device. There will be a $35 charge if the recorder is lost.
