A Navigational Exercise will be available for experienced navigators on Saturday afternoon. See details below.
May 21/16: Model Event,10am to 4pm, Venue playground across from the visitors centre. Instructions provided 10am – noon.
Definition: Training map and learn to orienteering. Start when you want to and visit as many controls as you want.
Map: Purchase a map $5. Sold on site from 10am to noon or pre-order maps and for pick contact hm@orienteering.nb.ca
"May 21/16: Navigational Exercise". Course opens at 2pm with 10 controls to visit on a map at a scale of 1:5,000. Start when you want to and visit as many controls as you want.

May 21/16: Owl Prowl. Bring your headlamp and go on a night time treasure hunt. Reflectors will be placed on the controls to make them visible.
Mass Start 10pm from ski shelter Chignecto South group campground.
Two courses
Little Saw Whet: Easy course. The controls will be located along the roads in the campground.
Great Horn Owl: For experienced navigators. The controls will be located in the forest.

Pre-registration:Pre-registration is requested for the Owl-O. Register by May 18, 2016
Provide: Name(s), sex, date of birth, club, course and SI number (SI = SportIdent card, if you do not have one it will be provided)
Teams: Provide team name and team members.
Walk-ins are welcomed but risk sharing a map.
Onsite Registration: Owl-O; Ski Shelter open at 9pm

Equipment:Electronic timing equipment will be used. Participants will be provided a recorder to record their visit to the control. The recorder will be on loan and if lost a $45 fee will be charge.

Compass for all courses (digital and mobile phone compass do not qualify)
Whistle for all courses
Watch for all courses
Park Entrance Fees:
The event registration cost does not include park entry fees.
