Rockwood Fall Foliage
October 11th 2025 12:00pm
Map: Rockwood Park
Come out and enjoy a day in the woods! Pre-burn those Turkey Day calories! It is Thanksgiving weekend and the Fall foliage colours should be at their peak.
A Score-O is an event where participants "choose their own" adventure and find as many controls as they can within the given time limit. Controls can be collected in any order. Harder controls may be worth more points, but going over the time limit will cost you!
There will be two courses. The Easy course will consist of controls in easy-to-find locations throughout the main public area of the park. The Hard course will include additional control hidden off-trail for the more adventurous participants!
COURSES:
Course | Time Limit | Description |
---|---|---|
Easier | 75 minutes | Fewer, Easier controls (trail junctions, etc) |
Harder | 90 minutes | All easy controls plus some harder off-trail controls |
- Terrain: Mixed trails and forest
- Scoring: 5-15 points for each Control visited; 5 point penalty per minute over-time
