Map: Mactaquac Provincial Park

Mactaquac Provincial Park, located north of Fredericton, NB, will be the venue for the ONB and Army Cadet Orienteering Championships. Come for the scenic view and at the same time explore what the park has to offer.

There will be a tailored made course for you to pick from. Chose 1 of the 4 courses from beginners to elite.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Preregistration is requested to help the organizers prepare sufficient material. Pre-Register by October 17th and benefit from a reduction in fees. Register by email with the meet director Harold McQuade : hm@orienteering.nb.ca

Please provide:

  3. Course and Class
  4. Class and/or age category
  5. SportIdent serial number if available

COURSES:

Course 1 (2.1km): A good introductory course for beginners. Controls are located along trails.

Course 2 (3.6km): The controls are located mostly off the trails. Use the trails to make your way around the course.

Course 3 (4.6km): Intermediate course. The controls are located off the trails. Good map reading skills are an asset.

Course 4 (7.2km): Advance course. Good navigational skills is essential.

First start Noon.

Meet Fees

Registration Fees will be collected at the meet site. Pre-registration rates will be collected for anyone who registers by Friday, October 17, 2014. On site registration available from 11:00am

  • Pre-registration for meets is strongly encouraged. There is a substantial discount for pre-registered participants. Pre-registered participants are also guaranteed a pre-printed map.

More Info

What should I bring? Wear something comfortable that you don't mind getting a little dirty! You might want to consider a change of shoes and socks! If it's wet outside, you might need a complete change of clothes! Compass and whistle are mandatory for all ONB events (whistles may be for sale at registration).

Directions: Follow Directions for Mactaquac Provincial Park and TreeGo. Once in the park, follow the arrows located on the orange and white signs to York Centennial.
