Bathurst Hospitality Days 2024Come try orienteering in the Carter’s Brook Watershed. Orienteering is an activity that the whole family can participate in. Orienteering is like a treasure hunt. The organizers will provide a map marked with points to find. There will be different courses from beginner to advanced. Go in a team or run solo. Compass and map reading instructions! Instructions will be provided on using a compass and reading a map. La course d'orientation ressemble à une chasse au trésor. Les organisateurs fourniront une carte avec des points à trouver. Il y aura différents parcours, de débutant au avancé. Partez en équipe ou aller seul. Instructions pour la lecture d'une boussole et d'une carte! Des instructions seront fournies sur l'utilisation d'une boussole et la lecture d'une carte. OrienteeringOrienteering is a foot race using a map and compass to navigate to points shown on the map. The points are called Controls and are marked in the field with a flag. The controls are placed at natural and man-made features, such as, trail junctions and boulders. A description of what you are looking for will be provided on the course map. All you require for equipment are:

Cours d’orientationLa course d'orientation est une course à pied utilisant une carte et une boussole pour se rendre à des points indiqués sur la carte.Les points sont appelés contrôles et sont marqués sur le terrain par un drapeau. Les contrôles sont placés à des endroits naturels et artificiels, tels que des jonctions de sentiers et des rochers. Une description de ce que vous cherchez sera fournie sur la carte du parcours. The flags will be placed at the feature you are looking for. The feature location is marked on the map by a circle. The feature in the field will be in the middle of the circle |

Event fees
Two methods of payment:

- Pay onsite, cash only
SportIdent Electronic timing equipment will be used. If you do not have a finger unit, one will be provided at no cost (if lost a $50 charge will apply)

Registration
Pre-registration is requested by July 7, 2024 to guarantee a map. On-site registration will be limited by the number of spare maps.
To Pre-register, complete the following forms. The completed forms can be emailed to the registrar. It is important that the Event Registration form be provided to the event organizer by July 7 to avoid delays at the onsite registration.

Enregistrement
L'inscription préalable est requise avant le 7 juillet 2024 pour garantir une carte. L'inscription sur place sera limitée par le nombre de cartes disponibles.
Pour vous pré-inscrire, remplissez les formulaires suivants. Les formulaires remplis peuvent être envoyés par courrier électronique au responsable de l'inscription. Il est important que le formulaire d'inscription à l'événement soit fourni à l'organisateur de l'événement avant le 7 juillet afin d'éviter des retards lors de l'inscription sur place.
