Fundy National Park Orienteering Weekend
Two days of activities are planned over the weekend in Fundy National Park.
Day 1: May 16, 2026
- Navigation Clinic (Free)
- Training - Skills development
Day 2: May 17, 2026
- Défi Fundy Orienteering Challenge.
Défi Fundy Orienteering Challenge
The premier race of the weekend will be the Défi Fundy-O Challenge. There will be 2 courses.
2-hour course: The controls will be located mostly along the trails. A good course for beginners and families.
3-hour course: A challenging and physical course for experienced navigators.

Navigation Clinic (Free)
Instructions will be provided on using a compass. The duration of the clinic will be approximately 2 hours. There will not be any cost for the session.
The clinic will be held in the playground area near the Salt and Fir Centre. Look for the “ORIENTEERING” banner.
Acknowledgement
This clinic is provided by Orienteering New Brunswick. The clinic is being offered in appreciation of the support that Parks Canada has given Orienteering New Brunswick.

Pre-registration is requested by May 12, 2026, to help the organizers prepare sufficient material.

Complete the following forms.

Provide the following information.
- Name (s): Your name or the names of all family members/ group members.
- Year of birth : year of birth
- Address: Your address and the addresses of group members, if different from your own.
- Team name (if applicable): Team name and names of all team members.
- Gender: Male, female, or nongendered.
- Course: Beginner, Intermediate, Long.
- Club: If applicable
- SportIdent Number (if applicable):
2.0 Risk Acknowledgement and Waiver

The form can be completed online or provided at the onsite registration.
Note: You also can register by contacting the event organizer. This may be easier for groups.

Schedule
9:30: On site registration.

Noon: End of the session.
Training
A training session will be for those that want to improve their navigation skills and for orienteering officials.

Week-end d'orientation au parc national de Fundy
Deux journées d'activités sont prévues ce week-end au parc national de Fundy.

Défi Fundy Orienteering Challenge
L’événement principale du week-end sera le Défi Fundy Orienteering Challenge. Il y aura deux parcours.
Parcours de 2 heures : Les balises seront principalement situées le long des sentiers. Un parcours idéal pour les débutants et les familles.
Parcours de 3 heures : Un parcours exigeant physiquement, réservé aux navigateurs expérimentés.

Stage de navigation (Gratuit)
Des instructions seront fournies sur l'utilisation d'une boussole. Un cours sera mis en place pour s'entraîner à l'aide d'une boussole. La durée de la clinique sera d'environ 2 heures. Il n'y aura aucun frais pour la séance.
La clinique aura lieu dans l'aire de jeux près du Centre Sel et Sapin.Rechercher la bannière "ORIENTEERING".
Reconnaissance
Cet atelier est offert par course d’orientation Nouveau Brunswick. Il être offert en remerciement du soutien apporté par Parcs Canada à orientation Nouveau Brunswick.
